Therapy & Counseling services in Gilbert, AZ and surrounding areas

Have a question about counseling? Here are some common ones.

What can I expect from my first session?

Welcome to your first therapy session! During this initial intake, we’ll have approximately 50 minutes to discuss the topics that matter most to you. This is your time to open up about the issues you want to tackle in therapy. Whether you’re dealing with specific symptoms or facing challenges from your past, we’ll explore your unique background information and aspirations.

Typically, clients find it beneficial to attend sessions on a weekly basis. However, I understand that everyone’s needs are different. That’s why we’ll collaborate closely to develop a personalized plan that suits you perfectly. Together, we’ll chart a course that aligns with your specific requirements and goals.

How long are sessions?

When are you available?

I am available to meet with clients from Monday to Friday. I make it a priority to respond to all calls and emails within 24-48 business hours.

What ages does Remedy Healing & Wellness work with?

Individuals ages 13 and up.

Clients under the age of 18, I’d love to have one parent join in the first session to provide some family history. But after that, it’s essential that your teen gets their own space to freely express worries, concerns, and doubts without parents around. They deserve a safe and supportive environment to explore their thoughts and feelings with someone someone other than a teacher or parent. I know it’s crucial for both you and your teen to feel supported throughout the therapeutic journey. My aim is to help you keep communication open with your teenager and strengthen your bond. Through therapy, I hope your relationship with your child will improve, and you’ll feel more connected to them.

Do you accept insurance, Yes!

I accept the following insurance: Aetna, Optum – United Healthcare, Cigna, Oscar and Oxford.

If you have a plan I do not accept, I can give you a monthly superbill (detailed receipt) to provide to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement.

How does out of network (OON) work?

You’ll be responsible for paying the full fee at each session. I will give you a superbill, which is a detailed invoice. You can then send this superbill to your insurance company and they’ll send you a check to cover a part of the costs. Depending on your plan, they may reimburse up to 80% of the full fee. To find out this information, call the customer service line printed on the back of your insurance card and ask for details of your OON benefit for outpatient mental health.

Most insurance plans offer OON benefits. If your card has “PPO”, “POS” or “OON” on the card or benefits guide you most likely have OON coverage.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A “Good Faith Estimate” explains how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
